The majority of mainstream household products generally contain very toxic ingredients.  Advertisers would have us believe these products are essential to safeguard our family's health, but we believe this is very far from the truth. Many of these products seriously damage our health and our environment.

Despite this fact, manufacturers of cleaning products do not have to list toxic ingredients on their label. Unless we do some serious research we would not be aware of the possibility of high levels of toxins in our household cleaning products. Some of these products we use in our homes including our kitchen where we prepare our meals.

The first table below is a list of some toxic ingredients and where they are commonly found in our household cleaning products. It also explains their effects on our environment and our health. Understanding the impact of these toxic ingredients was the driving force for the creation of My Habitat toxin-free household cleaning products. We have also included other similarly beneficial products to our range that are non-toxic but very effective.

The second table is about our essential ingredients used in My Habitat products and how they can contribute to improving our health and our environment.
